Glimpse to the Autism WorldMy wife and I were told of our son’s condition just before his 3rd birthday which completely changed us as individuals and as a family unit. It personally was the hardest thing I had to accept in my life. After many sleepless nights both my wife and I knew we had to accept this as we needed to improve our son’s life for the better. Aspect Autism was that charity that helped us transition to Autism community. They provide many free workshops for parents/carers that care for people on the spectrum. They also provide schooling too. The challenges for this type of charity and many others is that rely on donations to continue to operate. Your donations big or small will make a real difference and impact to the Autism community. “Autism is not a disability it’s a different ability”.
I'm riding for my larrkin son Hudson
I’m riding for autism to help create a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind.
I've set my challenge and I'll be riding from Sunday 5th - 12th July while raising much needed funds to support people on the autism spectrum.
An estimated 1 in every 70 people is on the spectrum. Along with their family members, this means autism is a part of daily life for over a million Australians.
People on the spectrum see, hear, feel and experience the world differently. For many, simply coping with the everyday can lead to confusion, anxiety and isolation.
By coming together and taking action, we can help provide opportunities for people on the autism spectrum to participate, engage and thrive in the world around them.
Help make my ride count and show your support by donating today!
