Get involved as an Individual or Team

Getting involved in Ride for autism is the perfect way to help us get closer to our goal of a world where no-one on the autism spectrum is left behind.

This is a movement made up of many actions and many people.

You can take part on your own, or in a team. Whatever you choose, we can’t wait to welcome you to the Ride for autism community!

How it works...

1. Solo/Team

Decide how you are going to take part. As an Individual? Join a Team? Become a Team Leader?

2. Set

Register and set your KM goal for 8 days. Personalise your page with your photo and story.

3. Share

Share your challenge and raise much needed funds to support people on the autism spectrum.

4. Ride

Ride with us on Sunday 4th - 11th July.

Kick-start your fundraising

Make sure you kick-start your fundraising by making a donation to yourself. This will show everyone just how serious you are about changing lives and will encourage others to make a donation too.

When you raise $150 on your personal fundraising page you will get a lovely Ride for autism drawstring bag and your next fundraising milestone of $500 awards you with a Riding jersey! These items will sure keep you motivated and looking part of the campaign!

Getting started as an Individual

Taking on the Ride for autism solo? Great work – we know you can do it!

All you need to do is:

  • Register as an Individual
  • Set your kilometre goal and kick-start your fundraising by making a donation to yourself.
  • Then personalise your fundraising page (with a photo and your story) and you will be on your way.
  • Once you are set up, shout from the rooftops that you are taking on the Ride for autism and ask everyone you know make a donation to support your efforts!

Getting started as a Team Member

Taking part in a team is a great way to have fun and get fit, while hanging out with some of your besties.

Plus you will show people on the autism spectrum just how much you believe in a more inclusive world.

  • Simply register, choose ‘Join a Team’ and enter the team name.
  • Set your kilometre goal, then kick-start your fundraising by making a donation to yourself.
  • Then personalise your fundraising page (with a photo and your story) and you will be on your way.
  • Encourage your team mates to do the same and ride together to smash your fundraising and kilometre goals!

Getting started as a Team Leader

Being a Team Leader is an important and rewarding role. Setting up your team while completing your personal registration is easy.

  • Click on ‘Create a Team’ and add your team name
  • Decide how you want people to join your team (ticking yes will add a join button on your team page allowing anyone to join your team).
  • Personalise your team fundraising page with a photo and story of why you are taking part.
  • Invite your family, friends and workmates to join your team.

Once you are set-up, it’s time to pass on your passion and motivate your team mates to raise funds from their networks, so they not only smash their personal fundraising goal, but make sure you smash your team fundraising goal.

Get everyone up, out and riding together. Set your team mates riding challenges so they are trained up, fit and ready to ride as many kilometres as they can to help reach your goals.

Above all, remember to have fun and cheer your team on – every dollar raised and every turn of the wheel will get us closer to a better, fairer world for people on the autism spectrum.
